Come be a part of the winning tradition that is UWL Athletics! Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a motivated professional with an understanding of financial management to serve as the next Athletics Business Manager.
The position of Athletics Business Manager in the UWL Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (“the Department”) reports directly to UWL’s Deputy Director of Athletics. By nature of this position and the assigned job functions, this position also has a reporting line to the University’s Budget Office. This position provides administrative support to the Director, coaches and athletics staff members by acting as the financial expert for all internal and external business. The Athletics Business Manager will manage the daily financial operations of a Division III intercollegiate program competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (“WIAC”). On occasion, attendance at weekend and evening events or activities that further the mission of the department will be required.

Training or relevant experience in accounting, business, financial or human resources.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in computer and Microsoft office systems.
Experience in preparing and managing budget allocations and expenditures.
Ability to interface between educators and campus business partners.
Degree in accounting, business, management, human resources or related field.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop rapport with departmental staff, students and administration.
Extensive knowledge of intercollegiate sport structure and NCAA Division III, WIAC, and NCGA conference, UW System and institutional rules and regulations.
Understanding of college student development.
Appreciation for diversity and inclusivity.
