The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in Ewing, NJ is a highly selective, public institution that has earned national recognition for its commitment to excellence. The School of Engineering at TCNJ is hiring talented, part-time adjunct faculty to teach all areas in electrical and computer engineering, with emphasis on circuits and laboratory classes. The school includes high-quality programs in Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, as well as an Engineering Management or Policy and Society specialization within Engineering Science. Although we are accepting applications for all of these areas, we have specific needs in the following areas:
Biomedical Engineering including Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Systems Physiology. Biofluids, Biotransport, Advanced Engineering Mathematics II (Partial Differential Equations and Probability/Statistics), and Senior Level Special Topics;
Civil Engineering including Engineering Mechanics, Structural Engineering, Surveying, Microstation/Autocad, Transportation Engineering, Hydrology and Water Resources, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Management;
Electrical and Computer Engineering including Circuit Analysis and Digital Signal Processing;
Engineering Science including Project Management, Advanced Engineering Mathematics I (Ordinary Differential Equations & Linear Algebra), and Advanced Engineering Mathematics II (Partial Differential Equations & Probability/Statistics);
Mechanical Engineering including Solid Mechanics, Systems Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Systems, CAD/CAE, and Manufacturing Processes.
Individuals should hold a PhD in an appropriate field, but individuals with a master degree and specialized experience will be considered. Previous teaching experience, industrial experience, or professional licensure is a plus. We work with our adjunct faculty to schedule teaching that fits into work and personal schedules.
