PROGRAM MANAGER, PK-12 , Open Learning-Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL) pK-12 , to assist the associate director of pK-12 @ J-WEL in the daily operation of the pK-12 @ J-WEL Collaborative by supporting member engagement, conducting research, managing member-related projects, and writing reports and other domain-specific documents. Will coordinate activity with the pK-12 Action Group and other MIT community members. Responsibilities include supporting member of the pK-12 Collaborative, which includes welcoming them to the community, understanding their work and interests, connecting them to relevant work at MIT, and reporting on their progress; conducting research and analysis in areas of focus for pK-12 @ J-WEL including STEM education, computation, early childhood education, teacher professional learning, and compassionate systems; managing projects related to pK-12 @ J-WEL member engagements, establishing plans, timelines, and outcomes and ensuring efficient execution of projects; writing concept notes, research reports, landscape overviews, and other domain-specific documents; providing input for J-WEL programs (J-WEL Weeks, J-WEL Exchanges, webinars, etc.); and performing miscellaneous duties and participating in special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree (master's preferred), ideally with an emphasis on one or more of the following areas--STEM education, teacher professional learning, computation, and early childhood education; at least three years' experience managing educational projects or programs; strong customer service, relationship management, organizational, interpersonal, writing, presentation, and statistical and graphical data analysis skills; strict attention to detail; ability to work effectively as a team and independently; sensitivity to client/customer needs; ability to multitask in a pressured work environment with changing priorities and limited supervision.
