Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Student Accounts, the incumbent is responsible for a significant case load with the department’s third party processes which involves corporate billing, government agencies and letters of credit. This function relates to a student’s financial obligations for tuition, fees, room, board and other charges associated with educational cost. The incumbent interacts with students, parents, and the University community on a daily basis. The incumbent is to have working knowledge of department and University rules, performing basic professional functions using established policies, procedures, regulations, precedents, and guidelines. He/she must establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other offices or organizations whose functions affect assigned responsibilities. This person must be able to communicate financial information in a professional and courteous manner, and to help students and parents to understand their financial accountability to the University. This position involves interaction with state, federal and non-profit agencies and with the students themselves. This position also includes the general duties of a Student Accounts representative, including counseling students and parents on understanding their billing information.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and maintain all third party contracts using Banner functionality which involves Federal, State and County agencies as well as corporate invoicing.
Implement and manage the Sponsor Point functionality via TouchNet for third party billing.
Administer and update Financial Aid forms of all outside scholarships that need to be recorded as an aid resource.
Responsible for direct invoicing and collection of payments for third-party agencies.
Assist with the process and review of late fees, holds and administers adjustments to a student’s account.
Compiles and analyzes statistical, financial and other data as it relates to student billing.
Monitor and understanding third party or in house payment plan.
Assist in processing third party refunds.
Accept and review all third party payments for appropriate account application.
Assist students and/or third party agencies in understanding student’s overall bill.
Create semester based tuition bills for tuition reimbursement.
Assists in the development and implementation of appropriate training programs for students, staff and others.
Responsible for attending special functions where office representation is required. This may include late night(s) and/or weekend hours.
Assist all members of the OSA office as needed with various tasks associated with AR functionality.
Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time.
Work overtime as required during peak periods.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to set work priorities, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with the Banner student information system strongly preferred Experience working in a Student Accounts setting.
Knowledge of higher education systems strongly preferred such as TouchNet, People Soft and Workday.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience.
