The Rutgers School of Health Professions invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in the Department of Clinical Laboratory and Medical Imaging Sciences. The position is available in Spring 2019.
The clinical coordinator, cardiovascular sonography program, is responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the program director. The clinical coordinator evaluates and ensures the effectiveness of the clinical affiliate/clinical education centers. Major responsibilities include campus and online course development and instruction in primarily undergraduate courses with some teaching in graduate courses in the areas of physics, pathophysiology, cardiovascular theory, ultrasound scanning laboratories, imaging and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and research advisement; participation in research, grant writing, and other scholarly activities; service to the university, school, and professional community.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Qualifications include a doctoral degree, professional US certification as a cardiovascular sonographer (with additional imagining certifications preferred), a minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiovascular sonography practice including teaching, and a record of scholarship and professional service. Candidates with a master's degree will be considered if they have a scholarly portfolio and are matriculated in a doctoral program.
