Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Budget and Human Resources, Assistant Director of Finance and Administration, the incumbent performs confidential executive secretarial, paralegal, clerical and administrative duties; assist more than one Associate General Counsel in their legal and administrative obligations for the University; maintains calendars; schedules appointments and meetings; screens telephone calls and messages; assumes independent responsibility as necessary for legal forms, statistical and other reports; creates, organizes and maintains confidential files as well as replies to routine correspondence and handles petty cash transactions and travel advances; performs related duties as assigned. THIS IS A NON-UNION POSITION.
General Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and/or its equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years secretarial experience, which should include experience as a legal secretary at the senior executive management level, is required. Knowledge of legal terms and usage is desirable. Excellent secretarial skills; Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). Ability to deal with others both in and out of the University in a pleasant and efficient manner.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree strongly preferred; any other related certificate strongly desired.
