The primary goals of the Pathology Services Unit (PSU) are to provide disease diagnostic and surveillance services as well as research support that strengthen the research program and contribute directly to the mission of the ONPRC. The Research Assistant 2 will aid the Veterinary Pathologist in the post mortem examination of nonhuman primates. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, sedative/anesthetic agent administration, tissue collection, specialized dissections and perfusions as well as general laboratory support. Work involves handling and processing of biological samples, working at Biosafety Levels 2 and 3 and working with potentially hazardous chemical agents. Selected candidate will be provided with training as necessary.
