Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Emergency Medicine, is currently seeking Physician Assistants to provide clinical care in the Emergency Department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, is a level I trauma center which evaluates and treats over 71,000 patients/year. The hospital serves as our principal teaching affiliate. (Pediatric emergency care is located in a separate location in the hospital, and services are provided by the Department of Pediatrics). The medical school is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the education of health professionals, in the conduct of biomedical, clinical, and public health research, in the delivery of healthcare and in the promotion of community health for the residents of the state.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Additional responsibilities will include teaching of physician assistant students, medical students and residents rotating through the ED, under the direction of an attending physician. You will also be expected to participate in the department’s research and quality improvement initiatives. To qualify, you should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Instructor and must have a degree as a Physician Assistant. Emergency Medicine experience strongly preferred.
