The Senior Administrative Director and Special Assistant advises and assists the President and CEO of the Alumni Association on a range of issues, focused on advancing the work of projects critical to the association's and university's success; working with a high degree of autonomy, assists the President/CEO and his/her leadership team in setting the strategic direction and defining priorities for the organization; manages information of a highly sensitive nature; researches information and provides guidance on pertinent issues; assesses inquiries and concerns directed to the President's Office, determining course of action and delegates to the appropriate person to manage.
They will help craft and advance the strategic direction of the President/CEO including, but not limited to: providing coordination and oversight in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and long-term operational plan; managing and advising the President/CEO on operations ensuring efficiency and effectiveness by optimizing available resources; ensuring that operations are clearly aligned with the work of the office and the strategic priorities of the university, while ensuring the association is effectively connected to other university units in these areas.
The Senior Administrative Director provides leadership of the association's strategic plan to ensure initiatives are advanced effectively; develops and executes strategic initiatives within the association and provides analysis of new initiatives and recommends appropriate course of action including risk assessment.
They will provide counsel and advice on university-wide and association level policies and procedures and oversight and leadership in all administrative operational areas within the association that are serviced by Advancement-wide shared services (finance, IT, HR, etc.); interacts with and serves as a liaison to University leadership, members of the Board of Trustees, President's Office, department staff, community leaders, and other internal and external constituencies on the CEO/President's behalf; works on special projects and confidential assignments and performs other duties as assigned.
The Senior Administrative Director must have the ability to interact and influence at the most senior levels of an organization to include colleagues across functions, levels and departments. Must have strong communication and organizational skills with the proven ability to problem-solve and effectively operate in a senior administrative role with the ability to interact with diverse internal and external constituents.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Higher Education or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; seven years leading staff teams and managing programs; three years of management experience.
Strong preference for candidates with both private and higher education experience; strategic or long-range planning experience.
Target Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 Annually
