The 'Co-Host, Here & Now' position is one of three primary voices heard on WBURs daily, nationally distributed news magazine Here & Now (Mon-Fri noon-2pm.) This position co-hosts the 2 hour-long broadcast and is responsible for preparation and conducting live and pre-recorded interviews in-studio and in the field. The Co-Host will also write content, segment introductions, billboard and promotional spots for daily Here & Now broadcasts. The co-host will report and produce segments, interviews & news features as assigned when not hosting the daily Here & Now broadcast; the co-Host will assist the Here & Now Executive Producer and Senior Managing Editor to help determine the daily menu of segments and participate in daily editorial meetings and weekly planning meetings. The Co-Host will attend and host station and Here & Now related functions and promotional events; he/she will participate in on-air fundraisers to benefit WBUR and Here & Now as assigned. This 3rd hosting position on Here & Now may reside in another part of the country, contributing to the program remotely.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred with more than eight years of related work experience.
