Under the general supervision of the TRS Project Lead and as a member of UC Irvine's Human Resources IT Team, the incumbent will participate in the design, development, QA, deployment, documentation, ongoing maintenance and support of the Time Reporting System (TRS) developed by UC Irvine.
Duties include understanding and analysis of complex payroll and time reporting policies and procedures; develop test scenarios and execute test plan based on functional and technical requirements; system and database design and documentation; programming, debugging; testing and implementation of assigned tasks based on project schedule. Follow the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and any TRS specific software development lifecycle for all development projects. Responsible for testing and validating all development work for the project. Must be able to work independently and with other OIT teams.
Duties also include providing ongoing consultation, maintenance and support of the production environment once the system goes live. Incumbent must stay current with developments in information technology concepts, tools, techniques, and applications.

Contract Position. This is a one year contract appointment position with the possibility of additional year contract appointment extensions.
