The Vendor Payment Assistant Manager position manages the following Accounts Payable & Disbursement functions: Vendor Invoice Management, Tax Reporting, Management of Petty Cash/Change Funds and Pl Cash Advances and is the Banking Officer with Mellon, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America as it relates to Accounts Payable. Incumbent serves in a leadership role between the Campus, Medical Center and the financial institutions. Incumbent is responsible for mitigating risk to the University related to payments, disbursements and tax reporting. Payment/disbursement policies and procedures are developed, reviewed and implemented under the leadership of the incumbent and in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Manager. Incumbent interacts with all members of the campus community regarding compliance with policy, procedure and regulation. This position supervises 5 Accounts payable staff and is responsible for their hiring, evaluations, development, disciplinary actions, and assignment of job responsibilities. Speak on behalf of the Accounts Payable Manager and lead the team in his/her absence. High level team work group participation, discretion, diplomacy and tact required when working with various units on Campus and at the Medical Center.

Salary: Annual $69,000.00 - $81,290.00 Total Hours: 8-5, M-F Career Position. Must possess a valid California Driver License and participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
