Working under minimal direction and reporting directly to the Executive Director, Support Services, the Director of Integrated Business Systems is responsible for managing and overseeing position assignments and fund management to support staffing requirements for all DFA units. Provides analysis to properly budget and forecast salaries and benefits expenses based on calculating individual employee benefit rates. Responsible for providing accurate staffing level reports to DFA management. Completes analysis to identifying potential concerns and recommends strategic courses of action.
Responsible for analyzing and overseeing payroll adjustments, expense transfers, and final/rush check requests. Provide analysis, guidance, and solutions regarding payroll issues in relation to permanent and temporary funding sources. Oversees employee time reporting and submission to the payroll system through the Time Reporting System (TRS). Interprets polices and implements decisions with the Executive Director of Support Services, supervisors, employees, and campus resources.
Applies advanced knowledge of financial systems to analyze complex data and how it affects financial and statistical reporting. Investigates and provides solutions of financial data. Provide fiscal closing support for DFA all units as required.
Serve as project manager for various system implementations that affect DFA units. Perform gap analysis and impact analysis by documenting work flow diagrams of existing and new processes. Develop and maintain documentation, instructions, and guidelines for end-users affected by these system implementations.
Manage and supervise of an Administrative Analyst's and a Senior Administrative Analyst's workload that consists of payroll reconciliation to budgeted staffing, processing payroll transactions, processing time sheets to payroll through TRS, and processing vacation accrual leave code updates. Oversee external timekeeping system for units that do not use TRS. This includes EPICS for Transportation and Distribution Services, IBM10 for Facilities Management, and Kronos Timekeeper for Public Safety which includes security personnel at UCI Medical Center.
