The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an Assistant Research Professor.
The position is responsible for establishing an airway epithelial cell culture core lab embedded in research labs. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining biosafety, maintaining a primary cell culture hood and incubator for human and animal airway samples, maintaining active primary air-liquid interface cultures, and maintaining an indexed and accessible repository of all cells in liquid nitrogen. The researcher will also perform airway physiology and biochemistry experiments with these cells. He or she will interface with other lab groups.
PhD with expertise in primary culture of airway epithelial cells and with epithelial physiology. Experience with clinical airway disease is essential.
