North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina seeks a Director of Institutional Effectiveness to lead the Institutional Effectiveness unit in the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OSPIE). Other parallel units in OSPIE are Analytics, and Assessment and Evaluation. Under the direction of the Vice Provost, the Director plans for successful implementation of the institution's strategic plan A&T Preeminence: Taking the Momentum to 2023 and the strategic plans of Colleges and Divisions. The Director also provides significant accreditation support for institutional accreditation, assessment of administrative effectiveness, policy support and overall branding for OSPIE by building value-added collaborative partnerships with College, Division, and Unit leadership. Strong technical and graphic design skills are critical to address the goals of the unit.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OSPIE) at North Carolina A&T State University is the primary source of official data for the University. Its mission is to foster University effectiveness, including student success, by providing data and analysis for evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning. OSPIE supports student learning assessment, the development and evaluation of academic programs, and institutional accreditation.

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution Three years experience in assessing academic outcomes Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills Experience in project management Experience in setting up technical platforms for functions related to assessment, operations, and institutional research Experience in building collaborative teams Experience collecting, verifying, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data, preferably in a higher education environment Strong skills in graphic design and production of visual materials Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
3+ years' experience in higher education preferred
Strong technical skills and proficiency in higher education platforms such as Digital Measures, EvaluationKIT, Taskstream, and Qualtrics is preferred
Experience in Freshdesk (customer service software and ticketing system) a plus
