The Customer Service Representative answers inquiries regarding unpaid invoices from vendors and University departments via telephone and email daily. The position is responsible for reconciling vendor statements and communicating differences to vendors, requesting any supporting documentation that may be needed while communicating any credits to the supervisor to ensure recovery of funds.
The Customer Service Representative processes pay cycles for checks, ACH, and wires in Connect Carolina according to Accounts Payable schedules. The position also provides updated logs for the front office personnel responsible for distributing checks with special handling codes. This position separates and prepares special handling code checks for distribution and notifies the preparers as voucher comments require.
Other responsibilities include supporting the Vendor Coordinator team by identifying and communicating problems related to payment methods and addresses; and batch scanning for PO invoices received in Accounts Payable.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
High-level customer service skills.
Strong beginning level skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
Familiarity with using PeopleSoft Financial products.
