The Institute for Trauma Recovery Research Program in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Research Coordinator to work in their growing research program. A primary responsibility of this individual will be to support a recently funded, 22 million dollar project that spans over 5 years, 15 sites, 8 states, and 5,000 study participants examining health outcomes after trauma. The study includes 31 occurrences of data retrieval that are collected over a 12 month period of time.
Duties will include conducting telephone interviews with study participants, tracking participants through study protocol, checking daily for new participants and completeness of data collected, calling participants to remind them of upcoming study appointments and surveys due, processing participant gift cards, and other study activities as requested by the project manager or PI.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Necessary qualifications include an outstanding professional track record, a passion and dedication to research, the ability to work highly independently, outstanding organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an interest in a career in clinical research. The chosen candidate must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Previous experience working with research a plus.
