The Human Resources Office Assistant has primary responsibility for providing administrative support to the UNC Kenan-Flagler's Human Resources Office. This position serves as the front-desk support for the office and works closely with each of HR team members to ensure smooth operation of the HR office. The position is also responsible for financial processing, generating HR reports, reconciling and adjusting funding and account information in Connect Carolina, event coordination, employee committee support and processing affiliate requests. The Human Resources Office Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Dean of HR and provides assistance with special projects and calendaring support as needed.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
The Kenan-Flagler Human Resources office is a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail. The position requires a high level of organization, discretion, and an ability to adapt easily, follow through, complete tasks and resolve issues. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Successful applicants will demonstrate a positive, highly professional and customer oriented focus in the workplace.
Prior administrative experience in the UNC System is preferred.
