Procurement Services at Iowa State University is seeking qualified applicants for a program assistant in its Purchasing Card (P-Card) team. This position will be responsible for assisting with the administration of the Purchasing Card program as well as providing cardholder training and support.
Primary duties of the position include receiving and issuing cards; overseeing the card renewal process; investigating and handling bank/cardholder issues, such as lost/stolen cards and declined authorizations; coordinating and conducting cardholder orientation; serving as the primary P-Card customer relations specialist; reviewing auditable transactions and researching issues; assisting with departmental compliance reviews relative to P-Card usage; and managing the P-Card paper and electronic recordkeeping systems, ensuring receipt of all required documents and maintenance of the records' integrity and retention in accordance with applicable policies.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling more than 4 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in business, communications, or a related area.
Experience with procurement procedures and systems.
Experience serving in a customer service/customer relations role.
Experience with public speaking, group presentations, or conducting training.
Experience with procurement policies, processes, and/or procedures in higher education or the public sector.
