Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Secretary I for the New Brunswick Outpatient Services Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
As the executive or senior level secretary, the Secretary I provides high level secretarial and administrative services for the Outpatient Treatment office.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides secretarial assistance in conjunction with relevant meetings.
Responsible for accurate data entry and maintenance of all program records.
Completes appropriate internal paperwork required by department, UBHC, and University.
Receives and assists clients and visitors.
Handles telephone calls in a professional and helpful manner.
Develops and maintains computerized databases related to program needs with 90-95% accuracy.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program in secretarial studies, plus four (4) years of full-time secretarial experience.
An additional year of experience is required in lieu of the secretarial program.
College credits may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for secretarial experience. Up to sixty (60) credits may be substituted for two (2) years of secretarial experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in typing and word processing skills.
Microsoft Office experience.
Good external and internal customer service skills.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and procurement policies and procedures.
