5B1 is a 32-bed medical/surgical unit that primarily includes patients admitted to the services of: (Medicine) Gastroenterology/Liver, Medicine Faculty Hospitalist/Renal and (Surgery) transplant, bariatric, colorectal, urology, orthopedic. Our interdisciplinary team provides care to patients and families across the adult life-span who are experiencing acute and chronic episodes of their illness. Why work on 5B1? Current Michigan RN license. GN applicants will be considered. The selected candidate must have successfully passed the NCLEX and be licensed as a RN in the State of Michigan before effective date of hire.

One year experience as a Registered Nurse.
Experience with General Medicine patients

Salary range for Registered Nurses- $63,918.40- $101,108.80
Evening Shift Differential- $2.35 per hour
Night Shift Differential- $3.20 per hour
Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
