The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Neuroendocrinology. We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Research Assistant to support basic and translational neuroscience research. Will assist and perform molecular and behavioral experiments in addition to maintenance of transgenic mouse models. Molecular techniques include immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, western blot, qPCR and ChIP.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in neuroscience or biology preferred. Must be highly motivated, and have experience working with small rodents as well as performing standard molecular and biochemical techniques (qPCR, Western blot). Expertise in next-Generation Sequencing, such as RNAseq, is a plus. The ability to perform Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) techniques and previous experience with stereotaxic gene delivery in the mouse brain is strongly preferred.
