The Department of Psychology at the University of Cincinnati is seeking an Assistant Professor - Educator starting in August, 2019. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of teaching excellence and could teach courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Psychobiology, Research Methods & Statistics, Cognitive Neuropsychology and Functional Neuroanatomy. As part of the McMicken College Teaching Innovation Initiative, we seek applicants with experience using research-based, active-learning approaches and those willing to evaluate new models of instruction and embrace online learning.
The desired candidate should possess strong organizational, communication and analytic skills, and demonstrate a history of effective departmental, community, and professional service.
This is a three-year, non-tenure eligible Assistant Professor - Educator position with a start date of August 2019. The term is renewable upon satisfactory performance. The expected teaching load for this position is seven courses per academic year. UC and the Department of Psychology are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community, and we hope to attract applicants who have experience in promoting the success of students from diverse backgrounds. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field is required.
