Collecting patient data by reviewing medical history, taking blood pressure and pulse, charting clinical findings as directed by the dentist
Provide clinical support by assisting the dentist in various dental procedures, exposing radiographs, taking impressions, fabricating and cementing temporary crowns, ensuring optimal patient comfort, sterilizing instruments, practicing infection control and OHSA standards in the operatory prior, during and after said procedures. This includes ensuring assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected between each patient being seen by the dentist.
Provide patient education by giving pre and post-operative instructions including oral hygiene instructions.
Demonstrates practice management skills by contacting patients as needed, reviewing schedules for optimal utilization, reviewing and imputing treatment plans, organizing lab cases by monitoring completion dates and ensuring each assigned operatory is set-up and ready prior to seeing each patient.
Vocational or Technical training required. 1-3 years' experience required.
