This position provides leadership, technology administration, and project management to all enrollment systems. This position is dedicated to optimizing enrollment strategy and tactics through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and evidence-based decision making. The person will effectively and efficiently use Slate, the University's CRM for all admission efforts, PowerFAIDS, the University's financial aid system, and Agresso, the University's student records system, as well as complementary reporting technologies, particularly Excel. The position works collaboratively within the Enrollment Management (EM) division and other University units to ensure the high-quality execution of technology supported business processes, data management and reporting as related to the admission cycle. The position is responsible for providing technical direction for, and support of, the staff in their division.
Serves as key day-to-day partner to Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Performance, while providing leadership and primary support for all processing related to Slate and PowerFAIDS. Develops and refines a robust, innovative and highly intuitive enrollment technology strategy prioritizing the use of Slate and PowerFAIDS.
Oversees the management and maintenance of all electronic records within Slate. Creates and executes data audits to ensure data integrity. Works with IT to ensure accuracy of data flow from Slate to PowerFAIDS and Slate to Agresso, especially bio-demographic information, test scores and decision data.
Implements, assesses, and refines a prospect scoring system in Slate.
Develops and generates daily or weekly recruitment reports and conduct full life-cycle analysis of admissions process to aid in data-driven decision-making.
Supports and monitors the Admission Communications Plan by providing requested data for mailings and targeted email to prospective students. Engages with the communication team to offer creative solutions for messaging and delivery of content to attract the attention of prospective students.
Integrates Slate directly with PowerFAIDS, FrontRush and other campus-wide systems as required. Develops summary reports for strategic level analysis. Ensures the accuracy of reports and responds to internal and external surveys. Liaise with vendor representatives (e.g. TMS, Technolutions, Collegeboard, etc.) to troubleshoot technical issues and further develop the systems.
Develops a strategic EM plan metrics dashboard.
Interacts with EM on department related problems and troubleshoots hardware and software problems for all staff. Ability to problem-solve and deliver solutions that are strategic, analytical, and creative.
Researches and coordinates the application of new and emerging technologies for possible use in EM.
Acts as system expert to provide technical feasibility input as well as assisting in the evaluation of new University hardware/software components and their impact on admission and financial aid information systems.
Trains and supports users on the effective use of various admission and financial aid systems.
Participates in enrollment planning and attends EM staff meetings, manager meetings and retreats.
Ensures all processes can be deemed best practice, while meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
Provides recruitment presentations and supports recruitment activities. Evening, nights and weekends may be required during certain cycles of the year.
Performs other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training professional employees and student employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; providing leadership and feedback to employees; addressing and resolving concerns.
Minimum of seven (7) years of collegiate environment experience in enrollment, research, or consulting.
Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in web development.
Knowledge of Slate CRM is highly desirable.
Knowledge of PowerFAIDS is highly desirable.
Knowledge of database query language (SQL).
Knowledge of statistical analysis and reporting.
