Associate Registrar - Public Health and Community Medicine - (19001231)
The Office of Student Services for the Public Health and Professional Degree Programs oversees the administrative operations of the Medical School's graduate programs inclusive of admissions, registration, career services and student services functions for about 400 plus students on the Boston Health Sciences Campus. The Office of the Registrar is a division of the Office of Student Services and is responsible for the management of registration functions, course scheduling, information systems, grade reporting, the generation of transcripts, maintenance of student records, production of enrollment/statistical reports, and verifications.
The Associate Registrar is responsible for all functions of the Registrar's Office. Primary responsibilities include course management, evaluations, course registration, cross-registration, transcripts, verification requests, creating/maintaining course schedules and classroom assignments. In addition, this position is responsible for the office's technological needs, including providing faculty training on new functionality and technical support for course management systems and overseeing the office's website and online processes and forms.
Bachelor's, degree with 5+ years of experience
Required computer/technical skills: Database Management, Excel, Word, and Student Information Systems
Knowledgeable of rules, regulations and laws regarding student records and enrollment.
Registrar experience in graduate or professional school setting is a plus.
Possess solid analytical and problem solving skills, outstanding communication and organizational skills, effective public speaking and presentation skills, ability to work effectively with diverse populations, excellent judgment, and ability to problem-solve.
In addition, must be enthusiastic and motivated and able to work with multiple constituencies – medical and graduate students, faculty, and staff on multiple campuses and at affiliated institutions
Special Work Schedule Requirements:
May be asked to work evenings or weekends as it relates to student events e.g. open houses, information sessions etc. and commencement related activities.
