The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive outreach plan for the Office of PittServes that is designed to increase the number of community agency partners and provide service opportunities for the Office of PittServes programs including but not limited to: Jumpstart, Pitt Make a Difference Day, Volunteer Fairs, MLK Day of Service, America Reads Challenge, Alternative Spring Break and Be A Good Neighbor Day.
In addition, the Outreach Coordinator will play a crucial role in expansion programs and service-based initiatives. This position will be responsible for consistent attention to community partner needs as well as targeted outreach to engage new partners based on student interest. This position is collaborative in nature and will interact with and support all members of the PittServes team. The Outreach Coordinator will be required to work closely with the Assistant Director of PittServes as well as additional multi-disciplinary entities to promote the culture of service within the University and through external relations.
The Outreach Coordinator will be required to travel locally, regionally, and nationally. The incumbent will work collaboratively with other University and Student Affairs departments to identify and coordinate student service experiences and will be expected to interact with Community Partners to ensure appropriate projects for PittServes service days and initiatives.
This position requires an individual with at least three years' experience with community based organizations. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal connection ability is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication required. Must have experience with professional presentations and possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to create and implement ideas to further the goals of PittServes and the Division of Student Affairs.
PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
