The Center for Comparative Medicine is looking for an Animal Caregiver to provide animal care to research animals in a laboratory setting. The Animal Caregiver is responsible for providing animal husbandry and general sanitation for the facility which includes cage-wash duties, use of the sterilizer and general facility upkeep. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and be comfortable working with lab animals, specifically mice. This position requires standing nearly all day and performing highly repetitive movements of the arms, back and waist. Incumbents will be expected to work a rotating schedule which includes a combination of weekday, weekend and holiday coverage.
