Position: The College of Education invites applications for a non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer position in the Special Education Department to begin August 2019 to serve as Graduate Coordinator for the Special Education M.Ed. and MAT Programs at The Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, MD.
Minimum Qualifications: • Graduate degree in special education or closely related field • Minimum of three years Pre-k to 12 teaching experience • Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching and/or supervision experience • Record of program administration experience • Commitment to collaboration with public schools
Responsibilities: Faculty assigned standard instructional workload of eight course units (4 course units/semester). Coordinate the MAT and M.Ed. programs at The Universities at Shady Grove, including student advising, course/internship scheduling and staffing, recruitment meetings, USG meetings/committees and cohort orientations for two course units/semester. Teach graduate special education courses and/or supervise internship placements in various instructional settings for two course units/semester. Participate in scholarship and service activities.
