Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Operations, Health Advancement, the Director of Care Connect is responsible for the administration, systems, and operations of University Advancement's domestic and international patient facilitated services program known as Care Connect. This position is a key ambassadorship role for cross-functional services between University Advancement, UCI Health, and University-wide supporters. The Director's responsibilities include managing and administering Care Connect's patient facilitated services within the UCI Health system for Trustees, major philanthropic supporters to the University, international patients, prospects, and other constituents. The Director provides fiscal management of program operations by providing budget recommendations and managing the program within budgetary guidelines; supervises CareConnect personnel; makes recommendations for expansion and further development of the CareConnect program; educates and trains CareConnect and Medical Center staff; partners with the information resource management team to create metrics and reports to track program activity, service capacity, benchmarking, seasonality of high/low volumes of utilized services, and resource capacity forecasting; and oversees compliance in its operations within Federal, State, and UCI Health Compliance Regulations. The Director negotiates access and oversees staff activities including appointment scheduling, wayfinding, and escorting through the health system, ensuring staff members uphold the highest standard of customer service and cultural competency. The Director is responsible for managing, monitoring, planning, and implementing new and improved non-clinical patient services and business processes to ensure a reputation of world-class customer service for UCI constituent patients.
