JCC: 5638Grade: A18 The Department of Dermatology, Oro Lab, seeks a Life Science Technician 1 (LST-1) to assist in performing techniques in cell biology and microscopy. In addition the LST-1 would perform cell isolation and culture procedures, immunocytochemistry, tissue cryosectioning and basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. The LST-1 would also assist in maintaining adequate stock of lab supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
At least one year of research experience in molecular biology and cell culture desired.
Candidate should possess technical skills and problem-solving abilities generally associated with one year of laboratory experience or one year of college coursework in experimental science. Some basic computer science background (python or R programming) would be helpful.
Experience working with murine animal models desired.
