Salary/Rate: $42,345 for Full-time 12 position/ $16,600 for Part-Time 10 month position
This search is to fill 2 Athletic Trainer vacancies: 1 permanent full-time 12 month position and 1 non-renewable part-time 10 month Intern position. Please indicate in the supplemental questions which position you are interested in.
The Assistant Athletic Trainer performs first aid and emergency care, performs assessments and provides treatment of injuries, designed and implements reprograms, instructs student athletic trainers in all practices of athletic training, provides supervision and coverage of practices and events according to the schedule, assists in the oversight of travel report and medical bags and provides documentation of athlete's information (emergency contact, insurance, healthy history and injuries).
Night and weekend work will be required This search may also have the need to fill a full-time one year contract position.
Minimum Classification Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in related field -NATABOC certified. -Registered in the State of Oregon by the Health Licensing Board -CPR/AED certified.
Master's Degree in Health, Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field. Experience with college level Athletic training.
All Listed Duties:
Performs first aid and emergency care, perfroms assessments and provides treatment of injuries and designs and implements rehabiliation programs.
Provides supervision and coverage of practices and events according to the athletic schedule
Administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Head Athletic Trainer
Schedules physicals for every sport season and works in collaboration with the team physician and student health center, and monitor and oversee athletic training inventory and supplies, along with help purchasing the supplies
Instructs student athletic trainers in all practices of athletic training.
Provides documentation of athlete's information (emergency contact, insurance, health history and injuries).
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Must be willing to travel and attend training programs off-site for occasional professional development.
Must be able to work additional hours and adjust working hours to meet special jobs. May be called back periodically to perform work as needed on an emergency basis.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
