Responsible for daily coordination of Residential Life facilities, including residence halls and university operated apartments. Facilitates communication and tracking on maintenance and housekeeping needs, maintains life-cycle inventory and assists with budget development and planning for maintenance and administrative needs. Verifies and updates room assignment data, executes assignment procedures accommodating roommate requests, Living and Learning Community requests, and required accommodation requests to the extent they are possible. Coordinates office correspondence concerning room deposits, room and roommate selections, new student information, housing contracts, and triple room refund programs. Manage special re-allocated space charge/refund program. Responsible for the assignments process for university operated apartment complexes and residence halls. Serves as liaison to Facilities Management and maintains furniture and equipment inventory and life cycle, and develops replacement plans with annual and long-term budget recommendations. Works with Procurement and Contracts to purchase residence hall furniture according to furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) replacement plan. Manages key control processes and conducts regular key audits. Coordinates residence hall building and room inspections with the state Fire Marshall and Facilities Management. Works with the Residence Life and Facilities Management staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of maintenance and housekeeping needs; follows up on unresolved issues and provide updates to students and staff. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates student work crew.
Strong oral and written communication skills, organization and analytical skills, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team. Previous demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas: property management, facilities management/maintenance, occupancy management, or apartment contract/leasing. Exercise exemplary decision-making and problem resolution skills. Experience developing and compiling reports. Experience with computers and ability to learn and navigate software applications, programs, and databases. Experience working and collaborating with multiple departments/stakeholders. Experience supervising others, especially student staff members. Available on evenings and weekends as needed.
Experience working in university housing administration and/or facilities management. University/collegiate housing occupancy management. Experience with residential occupancy management software. Experience with leasing and operations of apartment style housing.
