Instructor in Construction and Architectural Engineering Technology Full-time, non-tenure track position in the Institute of Engineering to begin August 2019.
Responsibilities: Teach construction management and architectural design courses. Responsibilities include teaching classes such as: construction planning and management, construction cost estimating, construction scheduling, architectural design, Introduction to CAD and other courses related to construction management and architectural design. In addition, this individual will be expected to develop and maintain related laboratory equipment and supplies. Liaison with professional industry partners for job placement and internship placement. Student recruitment and participation in ETAC/ABET accreditation process expected. Research and writing commensurate for an instructor position is required.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Construction Management, Architectural Design, Construction Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology or a related field is required. Master of Architecture or Ph.D. in a related field (e.g., Construction Management) is required within three years of initial hiring date.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
One year of full-time U.S. construction industry experience required (including internship and full-time work experience). Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, construction cost estimating, and architectural design is required.
