The College of Medicine is currently seeking an Executive Director and Chief of Staff to serve as a member of the Dean's senior leadership team. This individual will report to the Dean and Vice President for Clinical Academic Affairs and will advance the performance of the clinical, research, and education missions.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Facilitate key operational, administrative, and strategic priorities and initiatives while serving as a liaison for the Dean to the various constituents, as well as to internal and external stakeholders.
Provide front-line leadership, direction, and facilitation for highly complex, sensitive, and high-stakes issues to attain successful resolution by leveraging expertise and advice of key members of University leadership.
Work in collaboration with College's Dean's leadership team, Department Chairs, Center Directors, Office of the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs, Provost's Office, and Practice Plan on administrative and operational issues affecting the College the College, UK HealthCare and the Practice Plan.
At least twenty (20) or more years of experience in business environment, of which at least five (5) or more years are in an academic/academic health center setting. Experience should be progressive in nature and demonstrate the ability to manage complex projects and across various audiences and leadership levels.
C-Suite and previous experience in an operations leadership role (Executive Director, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer or other related role) preferred. Additional demonstrated experience in strategic development, public relations and physician engagement a plus.
