This position is under academic (UNMC) and administrative (NE-DHHS) supervisions, the data analyst is responsible for updating and integrating Nebraska state public health data, and making them user friendly. The data analyst should provide technical assistance and support to public health surveillance, research, and program activities. The data analyst is expected to conduct data quality assessment, linkage, analysis, and reporting in addition to design, develop, implement, and disseminate health services research and epidemiological studies. The position also responses data requests as needed. Work in research teams that include public health professionals, UNMC personnel, and other stakeholders in health care and public health systems. Use a variety of research methods, including literature reviews, data cleaning and linkage, secondary data analysis using SAS, and GIS software. Participate in projects related to public health.
