The Events Finance Administrator is responsible for the financial support of the University Events Office which will include budget planning, financial reporting, budget projections, and account reconciliation. The Events Finance Administrator will also be responsible for explaining and interpreting complex financial information and identifying and resolving problems of moderate complexity. This position must maintain a considerable knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures and other guidelines related to the position's areas of functional responsibility. The Events Finance Administrator monitors processes relevant to areas of functional responsibility, ensuring adequate internal controls are maintained.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
—Must have a knowledge of and experience with accounting policies and procedures in regards to accounting. —Must have the ability to independently prepare, disseminate, and interpret financial reports. —Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. —Ability to multitask in a high-traffic office. —Ability to work independently as well as with a team. —Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, is required.
Previous accounting experience preferred.
