Ohio University's Office of Information Technology is looking for a results-driven candidate with excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills to manage the ERP Development Team. The ERP Development Team supports enterprise enrollment management, HR and financial related applications by providing administrators with system configuration and troubleshooting assistance, customizations and extensions to application functionality, and integrations with other systems, empowering faculty and staff to fulfill the academic mission of the university.
You will be responsible for leading and managing OIT's ERP Development Team throughout the entire application lifecycle including the design, implementation and maintenance of all enterprise enrollment management and business application solutions. You will partner with stakeholders to improve business processes and support mission critical university objectives. You will lead your staff through highly complex, concurrent projects for multiple constituencies. You will develop standards and practices that direct the day to day operations of the ERP Development Team.

Managing a team of developers whose mission is to design, develop, implement, and maintain business application solutions for the enterprise, including enrollment management, finance, HR, and payroll applications.
Ensuring individuals are effectively performing job duties while using established practices.
Mentoring developers to ensure skills sets progressively improve, and to facilitate sharing of development techniques and best practices.
Creating, enforcing and continuously improving the standards and guidelines used by the team.
Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders to understand business objectives, anticipate demand and rapidly respond with working solutions.
Researching industry best practices and trends regarding business applications and other related technologies throughout the higher education space.
Consulting with peers in other areas of OIT and with senior management to establish policies, standards, and guidelines related to incorporating best practices that will strengthen OIT's position as a strategic enabler of the university's goals and objectives.
3+ years of management experience
6+ years in the Information Technology field or in a non-technical field as either a leader or a liaison that has worked very closely with IT
3+ years experience in an ERP system or other large, complex application (can be a combination of technical, functional or managerial experience)
Contributed as a member of a project or a team on at least one substantial business application project (new implementation, re-implementation, implementation of a new module, major upgrade, etc.)
Effective written and verbal communication skills with both IT resources and non-technical stakeholders
3+ years as an IT manager
6+ years in the Information Technology field
3+ years of recent and comprehensive ERP related work experience (can be a combination of technical, functional, or managerial experience)
Contributed as a member of a project or a team on multiple substantial ERP implementation projects
Background in either PeopleSoft or Oracle E-Business Suite
Experience in a higher education work environment
