The Director, School of Administrative Science (SAS) plays a significant role on the School's management team. The Director reports to the Assistant Dean for the School of Administrative Science. The Director coordinates course scheduling across the School and ensures successful enrollment of prospective and current SAS students. The Director collaborates within the School and College to enhance the quality of offerings and the student experience. The Director works collaboratively with the Assistant Dean to oversee the allocation of departmental resources to maximize effective and efficient use in achieving the goals of the SAS. The Director works on projects and plans as directed to grow student enrollment and persistence in the SAS. The Director has dotted-line responsibility for supervising the Associate Director, Senior Coordinator for Off-Campus Credit Programs, and other SAS staff in ensuring the success of day-to-day operations of SAS.
1.Master's degree with a preferred PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, or equivalent combination of education and applied experience in program development and delivery, in either a university/college setting or in corporate training.
2.Seven years of full-time experience in adult education program administration, new program development, cost/benefit analysis, marketing, and staff supervision.
3.Ability to collaborate with faculty and administration in the School of Administrative Science as well as with faculty and administrators in other colleges of the university.
4.Excellent verbal, writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills.
5.Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and data management software. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 required. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague preferred.
6.Ability to develop and maintain positive and outgoing relationships with the School of Administrative Science faculty and administrators.
7.Willingness and ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
8.Valid driver's license and accessibility to transportation for travel between campuses and to off-site locations.
9.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
