Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Analyst I for the Office of Information Technology. Under general direction, the Administrative Analyst I supervises the review analysis of the day to day operation of RUware and supports the end-user community by providing first level RUware procurement execution for hardware and software for supported technologies.
Assists in directing activities within RUware's day-to-day operation.
Supervises assigned staff and recommends the hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating personnel.
Participates in the selection and implementation of IT supplier sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness.
Responsible for the collection and execution of RUware's orders.
Solicits, receives and analyzes proposals, quotations and tenders submissions and recommends selection of suppliers in accordance with corporate policies and legal compliance.
Acts as a point of contact for IT with regard to vendor performance, including on-time delivery, quality of products and services acquired, and problem resolution.
Coordinates with Technology Partners to ensure effective procurement and delivery of technological standards.
Works with various schools and business units to understand order requirements for IT software and hardware.
Maintains knowledge of and upholds Rutgers procurement and security regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of professional experience involving the review, analysis and evaluations of organizations, administrative practices, computer applications, and the recommendation of improved methods in a large business, government agency or educational institution.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be proficient in computer applications as required by the department or unit.
Ability to develop and manage project work plans.
Knowledge of industry standards and trends.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
