Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Clinical Research Associate for the Department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Clinical Research Associate position is to serve as a member of a multidisciplinary research team, utilizing specialized knowledge, skills, and competencies in the sciences. This position performs site visits and other monitor activities to assure adherence to Good Clinical Practices (ICHGCP), SOPs, and study protocols.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Monitors the trial throughout specified duration involving monitoring visit to the trial sites.
Source data verification.
Informed consent form review, case report form review, and adverse event review.
Writes visit reports, filing and collecting trial documentation and reports.
Provides overall study monitoring and ensures protocol compliance per FDA, GCP guidelines, OHRP, HIPAA, IRB and institutional guidelines, and standard operating procedures set forth by Rutgers and the Division.
Ensures study parameters are correctly applied and eligibility criteria are met.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a related field; plus three (3) years of research experience, two (2) of which shall have included university level clinical monitoring.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong research specific knowledge base.
Solid knowledge of computer software programs (Microsoft Office, databases, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to maximize resources on a continued basis.
Must be detail oriented.
Must have excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must hold self -accountable to high standards of professional excellence.
Experience in a hospital/university setting.
Master's Degree in a scientific or health-related field or nursing qualification.
