Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Instructional Designer for the School of Health Professions. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Technology and Facilities, the Instructional Designer/Educational Technologist assists School of Health Professions faculty in designing innovative teaching materials and effectively integrating instructional technologies into teaching and learning.
Works closely with OIT's Instructional Technology and E-Learning Solutions for maintenance, administration and support of the SHP's web courses and web course development.
Interfaces with departments and programs in the development of educational content/materials using the Learning Management System adopted by the School and the University.
Works with existing and new faculty in implementing a technology-rich teaching and learning environment.
Supports the management of the school's web site and provides information and training on new educational technologies.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, Instructional Design or other related field.
Four years of demonstrated relevant professional experience in a higher Education environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple constituencies, juggle multiple projects in a timely manner.
Ability to effectively articulate technical concepts.
High degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence in customer satisfaction and quality of service.
