The Department of Physics at Syracuse University is soliciting applications for a post doctoral researcher who will work on the program at Jefferson Laboratory, Newport News VA to measure parity-violating electroweak asymmetries. The primary responsibility will be to participate in the design of two new major spectrometers, SOLID and MOLLER. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing experiments at Jefferson Laboratory, including the commissioning and data taking of the approved PREx and CREx parity-violating electron scattering experiments in Hall A. The successful candidate will join members of the Experimental Nuclear Physics group conducting experiments to test the Standard Model, as well as low energy QCD, and the neutron distribution inside nuclei.
