Provide exceptional care to our patients within all departments at Canton ACU which include Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Internal Medicine & OB/Gyn. Performing direct patient care for administering and documenting injections/medications according to standards, performing tests, procedures OB intake, and patient instruction. Assist with patient calls as delegated by Physicians and/or nursing staff. Manage high volume prescription renewals and authorizations following established protocols. Assist in patient flow and day-to-day clinic operations.
* Current Licensure as LPN in the State of Michigan
* Graduation from an accredited School of Practical Nursing
* Candidate must be an active team player with the ability to work independently; possess strong organization and prioritization skill; ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment; and have demonstrated problem solving skills
* NAPES certification or completeion of a pharmacology course in an accredited program.
* Demonstrated record of excellent attendance.
* Ability to work with a minimal supervision in a fast-paced clinic setting.
* Ability to problem solve, ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.

Experience working with Specialty and Primary Care patients. Experience in Patient instruction and telephone interaction with patients. Desired computer skills and knowledge related to test and procedures. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Recent Ambulatory Care experience (within the last 3-5 years). Knowledge of UMHS Policies and Procedures.
