Vice Chancellor Health Sciences (VCHS), Core Resources has administrative and/or financial and operational oversight for over 70 self supporting units (recharge facilities and/or Cores.)Cores are recharge facilities within VC Health Sciences Dean's Office that provide products and services to researchers. These products and services are integral to the support of research in Health Sciences and are essential in the introduction and maintenance of shared resources to the campus. Cores usually form around some specific (scientific) specialty. Regarding services, Cores offer their infrastructure and technical expertise. Regarding products, Cores perform the sourcing of innovative technology, procurement, receiving and distribution, which often require special handling. For example, Core Bio Services provides the infrastructure and technical expertise for research and offers innovative technology through procurement, receiving and distribution of life sciences products.
