This position is a key member of VUMCs Financial Training team responsible for the delivery and maintenance of institutional financial training programs for VUMC business and revenue cycle processes, systems and/or financial reporting. This position will provide training and instructional design support for VUMC's new and existing Financial Training curricula. The Sr. Learning Consultant will also consult with customers to determine the most appropriate and effective solutions to address team, organization or role-specific performance improvement and/or engagement
Financial training will be delivered in online and in classroom and clinical settings. Candidates will provide on-going training support for departments and staff, including one-on-one training sessions as needed. In addition to classroom instruction, training materials development and review as well as maintenance is required for all courses, including online modules. This position is also responsible for working with the department's Learning Specialist to produce communications, scheduling, and programs which meet the needs of the VUMC Finance and other VUMC departments. The Sr. Learning Consultant will possess an advanced knowledge within a professional area and basic knowledge across related areas with the ability to acts as a "go-to" resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small project teams
Candidates for this position should have excellent presentation and communication skills, experience with PowerPoint, Captivate, Business Objects, and/or Hyperion (preferred). An MBA/CPA is also preferred. But not required.

Maintains subject matter expertise to the accuracy and completeness of VUMCâs Financial Curricula ensuring business processes, policies, financial reporting and system content is current with ongoing best practices at VUMC, particularly those related to charge review and reconciliation
Use a comprehensive understanding of academic and healthcare accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, appropriate regulations, and policies and procedures in the delivery of training programs. Keep abreast of policy, procedural and system changes, and update curriculum and training strategy accordingly. Knowledge or Revenue Cycle business process preferred.
