Reports to the Director of the Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program, while taking direction from the head of the Negotiation Workshop. Supports all aspects of organizing and delivering the winter and spring term Negotiation Workshops at Harvard Law School as well as two summer continuing legal education workshops held at Harvard Law School. Provides workshop-related support to the adjunct lecturers who teach these courses. Takes lead in handling all workshop logistics. Coordinates workshop admissions process, maintains database, and generates correspondence. Schedules and sets up rooms/AV arrangements, including coordinating with IT around multiple video-based exercises. Coordinates payroll information for teaching assistants and consultants. Provides extensive office support (word processing, photocopying, delivering materials to classrooms, editing course web pages, updating and compiling course readings). Attends sessions to assist instructors/teaching assistants with classroom needs, and production/delivery of complex course materials. Recruits volunteers from Harvard community for role-plays in exercises. Plans events/arranges catering of various events and farewell party. Some overtime and weekend work required, especially in January. Performs other duties as necessary.
This is a term appointment, with possibility of renewal, currently expected to extend to June 2019 subject to funding and departmental need. All offers to be made by HLS Human Resources.

Minimum 3 years of administrative experience. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well in teams; expertise in event-planning; ability to juggle multiple complex tasks, and to work with more than one supervisor, remaining focused under deadlines and pressure. Demonstrated creative and entrepreneurial spirit; must exhibit attention to detail and have outstanding organizational skills; excellent writing skills, customer-friendly demeanor. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web editing tools and PageMaker.
