The Graphic Design and Communications Specialist will report to the Associate Director, PGME Marketing Operations and collaborate with Business Operations and Education staff to support graphic design and media production needs for PGME Certificate, Custom, Master's and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
He/she will design or update publications, direct mail, brochures, print advertisements, digital ads, flyers, posters, and promotional materials.
This Specialist will also apply design knowledge and skills to ensure that all marketing and communications materials reflect the state of the art marketing and graphic design practices and incorporate University brand standards.
Design digital media campaigns aligned with business goals
Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. video, website, blogs, and podcasts)
Manage end-to-end digital projects
Manage web updates
Maintain a strong online presence through social media
Ensure brand consistency across teams
Monitor ROI and KPIs

Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite. 2+ years of experience as a graphic designer. Experience in understanding and implementing brand standards. Experience in video/screen capture and live-streaming. Proficient with Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe After Effects, Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Systems and video engineering: building solutions for classrooms, studios, live-streaming, and executing automated tasks with command line tools. Education beyond high school counts towards experience.
Bachelor's degree in media design, education, or related field preferred. Project management experience. Knowledge of eLearning authoring packages such as Captivate and Articulate Storyline. Experience with HTML, CSS, other programming languages, command line tools, and automated tasks. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized and concise with strong work ethics. Must possess the capability to master new software applications and technologies as they are introduced to the department. Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing deadlines and requests from multiple sources. The position requires a team player with a willingness and ability to work with multiple groups within HMS PGME. Composure, integrity, and trust, collaborative attitude.
