Reporting to the Provost?s Office, the Director will play a critical role in executing Simmons University?s commitment to academic integrity.Responsibilities:Academic Integrity and ConductImplement and maintain university academic integrity policies and procedures;Foster a climate of compliance and understanding in which students and faculty observe academic integrity policies;Regularly evaluate the misconduct process to identify areas for improvement, remove barriers for compliance and fear of retaliation, as well as reduce the number of incidents; Develop and execute of educational training programs for faculty, staff and students regarding academic integrity;Research and identify integrity related risks and develop strategies to mitigate respective concerns;Oversee the investigation of allegations concerning non-compliance with applicable academic integrity policies;Recommend corrective action and/or appropriate discipline when incidents of non-compliance are confirmed;Support faculty on the implementation and execution of the faculty integrity academic guidebook;Regularly report on data and trends in misconduct to academic leadership and other stakeholders at Simmons;Oversee tracking of academic integrity cases.Curricular Support and Process ManagementSupport the undergraduate and graduate curriculum committees, including managing all administrative functions and needs of each committee;Manage new course, program, major, and minor proposals in collaboration with the faculty committee chairs and faculty committee membership.Qualifications:Master?s degree required, PhD preferred;3-5 years of related experience in higher education;At least 3 years? experience with academic integrity and conduct processes and procedures;Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively;Proven experience of working across a diverse spectrum of constituents including staff, faculty and students;Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information;Experience in conflict and dispute resolution techniques and best practices.Required Application Materials:ResumeCover LetterSalary GradeS08Instructions to Applicants: Please upload all applicable application materials (e.g. resume/cv, cover letter, writing sample, teaching philosophy, etc.) in the "Resume/CV" box on page 2 ("My Experience") of this application.
