This is a one year visiting assistant professor academic appointment beginning August 16, 2019. Position duties include:
• Teach jazz trumpet to undergraduate and graduate students
• Supervise students in the MA in the Jazz Studies program
• Perform in the faculty jazz ensemble (Michigan State University Professors of Jazz)
• Teach Jazz Arranging & Composition
• Conduct Jazz Orchestra II
• Guide students in professional activities
Other -Fine Arts
Proven successful teaching skills at the university and/or professional level
Performance experience at the professional level
Master’s degree in Fine Arts and/or equivalent professional experience
